République has always been the area for creatives and artists in Paris. The windows of the hotel once housed great works of art by famous street artist Kouka. The hotel managed to integrate seemlessly into the bustling neighborhood by keeping the legacy and tradition of art at the forefront. It’s evident as soon as you walk through the doors at Renaissance Paris Rébublique that wonderful service, art and decor were important. The building itself is a work or art from the street with its red and glass doors and grey facade with hundreds of large rounded edged windows. At night when it’s all lit up, its quite spectacular. When I checked in, my car door was opened for me, I was greeted and whisked into the lovely smelling lobby, where my bags were quickly put on a trolly and I was handed a cool cup of water. There were beautiful purple flowers on the wooden service desk and I was greeted with a smile. Luckily the Creative Manager Baptiste Vérine was there and whisked me off to show me the hotel.
Art is everywhere you look. Renaissance Paris République gives local artists the opportunity to show off their talents on their walls. Currently J3, a street artist known for his chalk work has done some pieces in collaboration with the hotel. Once such piece is a huge mural in the bathroom of the spa which was amazing to see with my own two eyes. Each month the hotel hosts artistic happenings for the community. What I find really moving is how true the hotel has stayed to the neighborhood, with their own craft beer that they serve at the bar Martin, being made locally. They support local artists and when they had their grand opening, it wasn’t for PR and press and the glitterati, it was for the people in the community who they may have slightly disrupted during the 2 years of renovations.

After being shown the bar and lounge as well as dinning area and spa we went to the outdoor space. The outdoor space has a modern fire pit and is perfect for relaxing with friends over a glass of red wine and talking about life. There are many little nooks for group settings and its a lovely way to spend a warm night in Paris. During my trip, I also had the opportunity to visit the rooftop which isn’t available to guests. It was one of the most magical moments of my entire trip to Paris. To see all the Parisian rooftops and the Sacre Coeur in the distance made my heart smile.
In addition to having fabulous common spaces including the plush hallways and automatic motion sensor lights, the rooms are plush, comfortable and tailored. I was in room 305 overlooking the beautiful courtyard. The room got amazing light and I loved all 3 of the full length mirrors. Entering the room there is gorgeous stone flooring and finished wood closets and drawers. There is a beautiful flower tree motif sliding glass door that leads into the bathroom, the inner side of the door housing a full length mirror. One design detail that I loved was the open concept of the bathroom, with windows. The amazing rainfall shower built into the ceiling of the shower was so good I used it 2-3 times daily. I loved the use of leather and wood throughout the living space. The bed with memory foam pillows gently cradled me to sleep each night. I absolutely adored everything about Renaissance Paris République. It gives you a neighborhood feel but with 5 star quality. I will definitely be returning.
